Spring in the City

The trees and flowers are blooming and the crisp cold air is subsiding in the streets of New York City. It’s Spring! Springtime is one of the best times to visit the Big Apple. It’s warm enough to spend the days exploring the city but not hot enough to break a sweat! If you’re visiting during this time of year, pack a light jacket (an umbrella) and some good walking shoes. With the wonderful weather, comes a great line up of Spring activities. Here are just a few of our favorite events and happening this season!

There is no denying that New York loves baseball. Major League Baseball Opening Season starts in April and lasts through the Fall with a full schedule for both Bronx Bombers and the Amazing Mets. Check out the schedules for the New York Yankees and the New York Mets and plan a day rooting for your favorite team. One of the greatest activities of Spring is the chance to enjoy the many street fairs and festivals hosted throughout the neighborhoods of Manhattan. With local artists and vendors (and some of the best street food on the planet), you will be sure to enjoy the best of the local culture.  Here is a full list of street fair locations throughout the season. Be prepared though, your visit may become ruled but endlessly chasing street fairs and the amazing things they have available.

There is so much to do in this city and even more when the weather is gorgeous.  From visiting Coney Island to Chelsea Piers to spending the day in Central Park!  For a suggested list of itineraries, visit NYCGO.com and TimeOut.com/NewYork.
