It’s one of the biggest parties of the year! St. Patrick’s Day in New York City is one of a kind and there is so much to do to join the festivities.
The St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Starting right outside the doors of The Roosevelt Hotel at 44th Street, the parade begins at 11:00 am and marches up Fifth Avenue, past St. Patrick’s Cathedral and ends near the Metropolitan Museum of Art at 86th Street about 4:30pm. Along the way will be lost of green, blaring bagpipes, lots of shouting and tons tons of fun! Start off at Vander Bar for some great specials and free Corned Beef and Cabbage from 12-2pm. Another must-see at the hotel is the annual bag pipers performance in the hotel lobby at 12pm and 1pm. Here’s a peek at last years performance!
Can’t make it to the parade? You can watch it live online at www.nycstpatricksparade.org
St. Patrick’s Cathedral
It’s not all about the booze on this holiday. St. Patrick’s Day is a religious holiday, so stop by for a service at one of America’s most famous churches, St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Fifth Avenue. Feel alittle guilty going to church? At least stop by and take in its beauty before going to chug some green beer.
Look for me at Vander Bar or in the hotel lobby and be sure to stop by and say hi! Everyone have a great time and be safe!!
