Since 1904 the US Apple Industry has been celebrating the apple in effort to help drive retail sales and increase awareness of all the great ways you can use an apple. Some of these great ideas include, baking them into a pie, mash them into a sauce or, my personal favorite, mix them into a cocktail. There are many variations of the ‘Apple Martini’ including the George Washington, the Macintosh and the most common, the Sour Apple.
To help do our part in celebrating this wonderful fruit during National Apple Month, The Roosevelt Hotel will be promoting half priced Sour Apple Martinis all week at Vander Bar and the Madison Club Lounge. Stop by and help us celebrate. Cheers!
The Apple Martini
2 oz Grey Goose Vodka
1 oz DeKuyper Sour Apple Pucker Schnapps
1. Pour the ingredients into an ice filled cocktail shaker
2. Shake Well
3. Strain into a chilled martini glass
4. Garnish with a freshly sliced green apple wedge
