Picasso at the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art

Hey all you art buffs! Now through August 15th, the Special Exhibition Galleries on the 2nd floor of the Museum of Modern Art will be paying tribute to the great works of Pablo Picasso ( 1881-1973). This will be the first exhibition of its kind, and will feature 300 works that span all of Picasso’s Period’s ranging from the Blue Period of 1900 to the Cubist which started in 1907 and continued throughout his influential career. Paintings, drawings, ceramics and sculptures by the Spanish artist never before seen in their entirety will be featured. Among them, the remarkable early figure paintings, At the Lapin Agile (1905) and “portrait of Gertrude Stein”(1906)
