The Roosevelt Hotel is excited to be a part of the Hotel Association’s National Ground Hog Job Shadow event this week. Today, the hotel will have several junior and high school students shadowing a variety of our department managers throughout the day. From Housekeeping to Sales to Food & Beverage, our managers will be showing these young minds exactly what it’s like to work in the hospitality business. It is truly a great experience to mentor these young folks by showing then what a day on the job is like.

Groundhog Job Shadow Day is an annual event coordinated by NYC Academies that allows these students to go through a day on the job. It provides young people with an up-close look at how skills learned in school are put to use in the workplace.
