Travel Matters. That’s what the U.S. Travel Association is saying with the 26th annual National Travel and Tourism Week. Hundred of cities, states and businesses across the country will take part in events from May 9th to May 17th to promote the power of travel.
The goal is to enhance the country’s economy, security and perception, and recognize the cultural and social benefits created by travel and tourism. With $740 billion in direct travel expenditures by domestic and international travelers, and 7.7 million direct travel jobs, travel and tourism is one of America’s largest industries.
For the first time this year, National Travel and Tourism Week will also include the U.S. Travel Rally Day on May 12th. Here is a list of participating cities where you can join!
