Founded in 2002 byRobert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatkoff, the Tribeca Film Festival was started as an effort to revitalize Lower Manhattan in the wake of the attacks on the World Trade Center. The festival has now become a haven for film lovers because of its reputation for screening the hottest new films from documentaries to short films. Also offered are discussion panels, Q & A’s with leading actors/directors and some very fun kid-friendly events. This is a ticketed event, so check out their website for details.
